Inauguration of Beautification Project
The beautification project of Our Lady of Remedios Church , Betalbatim was inaugurated today by Shri Franscisco X. Pacheco Honourable Minister of Tourism, Govt of Goa. , in the distinguished presence of Shri Shyam Satardekar, (Hon. MLA & Chairman GTDC), Rev. Fr. Ubaldo D'Cunha (Parish Priest ,Our Lady of Remedios Church, Betalbatim), Shri. Michael Pereira (sarpanch, V.P. Betalbatim)Shri. Beautification project of Our Lady Of Remedios Church, BETALBATIM
The noble initiative to have the area around the Church of Remedois in Betalbatim, has transformed the way people treated the public area. The playground in front of the Church created a lot of dust that settled on the facade , but now with the well planned compounded area a paved layout and green lawn adds up to the picturesque look . The occasional stray dog or cattle which would mess up is prevented by the three huge iron cast gates .
The much durable paint work also looks very pleasing after the re-plaster of the exterior and interior of the church. The Church looks magnificent at night due to the illumination of the whole area , the retaining walls around the fields have created much parking space in addition to the planned parking area on the eastern side of the church.
