19th Annual Felicitation of Goa Board Top Rankers in SSCE & HSSCE by JOSEPH AFONSO MEMORIAL TRUST
JOSEPH AFONSO MEMORIAL TRUST, Betalbatim will be holding the 19th Annual Felicitation of Goa Board Top Rankers in SSCE & HSSCE. The Programme held every year to perpetuate the memory of Joseph Afonso, an outstanding educationist and an excellent Sarpanch of the village, rewards meritorious SSCE & HSSCE students, resident in Betalbatim. The Felicitation Programme, is preceded by an Inter-School Competition which provides a platform for leading Goa Schools, to showcase the talents of their students.
This year an Elocution Competition will be held on the subjects:
1. Will Mopa Airport benefit Goa? or
2. Does Goa have a will to solve the Garbage Problem?
The Programme to be held on Sunday, 21st July 2013, at Dr. Jose Cota Memorial Hall, (Opp. Betalbatim Church), will begin at 10.00AM.

RATION QUOTA DURING THE MONTH OF JULY, 2013
The Department of Civil Supplies and consumer affairs has informed the ration card holders in the state of Goa are allotted ration quota during the month of July 2013.
Below Poverty Line (BPL) Card holders, 30Kgs rice per card,
Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) 35 Kgs. Rice per card,
Above Poverty Line (APL) Cardholders, 10 Kgs Rice and 2 Kgs wheat per card,
Annapurna (ANP) Cardholders 10 Kgs Rice per card.
All the Fair Price Shops owners are informed that the quota lifting should start w.e.f. June 27, 2013 onwards and they should lift at least 50% of their released quota on or before July 7, 2013 and balance quota shall be lifted on or before July 15, 2013 strictly and no extension would be granted for lifting.
